My Story
Julie Knight
I am a registered Social Worker, with extensive knowledge working with families. I practice in accordance with the Social Workers Registration Board and the ANZASW. I have trained through Child Play Works in Child Centered Play Therapy. I have an ongoing commitment to my professional development.
Family Centered Approach
A respectful, confidential approach to the wellbeing of every family
I offer a variety of strength based, client led approaches including: Person centred therapy, Strength-based approach, Child-centred play therapy.
Child Session
For children to play out there experiences and feelings is the most natural, dynamic and self-healing process in which they can engage.
Parent Session
Working with the parent/ caregiver to understand the child's process and how they can support the child/young person through this process

Expectations
Your expectations
Your information is Confidential unless someone is at risk.
You will be treated with respect at all times.
Your sessions will be tailored to suit your needs and that of your family
Sessions are 45 minutes in length
You have a right to terminate the agreement at anytime
Your information will be stored securely.

My Expectations
You will attend your sessions on time
The caregiver/ parent will wait in the waiting room for the child's session .
You will give at least 48 hours notice if you are unable to attend a session, otherwise you will be charged the normal session fee.
I welcome your feedback at the conclusion of your sessions so that I can keep improving my service to the community.

Charges
$95 per session
If a written report is requested there is a pro-rata charge.
Payment for each session is required by cash or internet banking at the time of your appointment.
If an external funding provider is paying for your sessions, payment must be confirmed prior to the commencement of the first session.
There will be an additional $30 Admin fee for overdue payments
Full payment of session will be charged if appointment is cancelled with less than 48 hours notice.
